1. Scope and responsible business

Clothwright is responsible for the practices described here. This policy does not govern a third party’s own website, app, or service, even if linked from ours.

3. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, checkout, payment confirmation, delivery, returns, and customer support.
  • Send transactional messages about orders, security, or policy updates.
  • Send marketing only where permitted and honor unsubscribe choices.
  • Personalize product presentation and measure site and campaign performance.
  • Detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms.
  • Maintain records, enforce agreements, exercise legal claims, and comply with tax, customs, consumer-protection, and other obligations.
  • Improve product designs, sizing, materials, accessibility, and fulfillment.

4. When we disclose information

We disclose only what is reasonably needed to:

  • Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, fraud prevention, support, and security vendors.
  • Payment processors: Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay when offered through Stripe. Stripe and wallet providers process payment credentials under their own privacy terms.
  • Production, fulfillment, and logistics partners: product details, name, contact information, and delivery address needed to manufacture, pack, import, ship, or handle a return. Partners may be outside the United States.
  • Professional advisers and authorities: where reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, insurance, compliance, safety, or fraud matters.
  • Business transactions: subject to appropriate safeguards in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
  • At your direction: when you request or consent to a disclosure.
No sale for money

Clothwright does not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, we will update this policy and provide legally required opt-out controls before doing so.

5. Cookies and similar technology

Essential technology keeps the cart, account, checkout, security, and preferences working. With any required consent, analytics technology helps us understand visits and performance. Advertising technology will not be activated unless it is disclosed and any required choice mechanism is available. Read our Cookie Policy.

Where legally required, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sale or sharing for that browser. Because we do not currently sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising, there may be no additional advertising use to disable.

6. Your choices and privacy rights

You may update account information, unsubscribe from marketing using the message link, or manage nonessential cookies through available controls. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or an explanation of our processing; opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing; or appeal a denied request.

California residents may have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and receive nondiscriminatory treatment. These rights apply when the law’s coverage requirements are met. We may verify identity and authority before completing a request, and exceptions may apply.

Submit a request through Your Privacy Choices or email privacy@clothwright.com. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted, subject to proof of authority and identity verification.

7. Retention

We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Order, payment, tax, customs, dispute, and fraud-prevention records may be kept for legal and accounting periods. Account and marketing data is retained while the relationship is active and then deleted or deidentified under our retention schedule, unless a longer period is required or justified. Backups are removed on their normal secure cycle.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information, including encrypted transport, access controls, row-level database authorization, restricted service credentials, payment tokenization through processors, logging, and encrypted hosted storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. If you believe your account or information is at risk, contact us immediately.

9. International processing

Production and fulfillment partners may operate outside your state or country. Information may therefore be processed in jurisdictions with different laws. We use contractual and technical measures appropriate to the service and applicable law.

10. Children

The service is intended for a general audience and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. Contact us if you believe a child provided information so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. Third-party services

Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Review them before providing information. Clothwright is not responsible for an independent third party’s practices.

12. Policy changes

We may update this policy to reflect new practices, vendors, laws, or products. The effective date shows the latest version. We will provide additional notice of material changes where required and review this policy at least annually.
